Paul Tobias live with Guns N' Roses in 2001.

Paul Tobias is a guitarist who has worked with Guns N' Roses in the spotlight and behind the scenes since 1994. He is a childhood friend of Axl Rose, having worked with him since the formation of Hollywood Rose. In 1994, Tobias replaced rhythm guitarist Gilby Clarke and appeared on the band's cover of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil", creating tension in the band when Tobias recorded a solo over Slash's part. In 1999, he co-wrote "Oh My God". He also co-wrote 7 songs on Chinese Democracy and can be heard playing rhythm guitar on ten tracks.
